Privacy Policy

ReignFree Trivia ("ReignFree", "we", "us") is operated by SwanSky Creatives LLC. This policy explains what information we collect when you host or join a trivia room, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the ReignFree website, installable web app, and any Android package built from the same web app.

What ReignFree is

ReignFree is a browser and mobile party-trivia game. Hosts create ready-made or custom trivia rooms, and players join by room code or QR code. Custom rounds can be generated with the help of AI systems from a topic and optional context supplied by the host.

Information we collect

Host accounts

• Email address, authentication provider, user ID, and basic profile fields you set (display name, handle).
• Trivia packs you create, edit, or save, including titles, topics, context, generated questions, answer choices, and correct answers.

Players

• Anonymous nickname/initials and a local session token used to keep you in the room across reloads.
• Room codes you join and the answers, scores, and events produced during gameplay.

Gameplay & rooms

• Room codes, room state, per-question answers, scores, player status, and gameplay events.
• Saved attempts and leaderboard rows when you publish a score to a pack's wall.

Diagnostics & usage

• Usage counters, generation events, error and crash logs, request logs.
• Device, browser, and app metadata (screen size, user agent, PWA install state, service-worker version, approximate region) needed for security, debugging, analytics, and performance.

Push notifications

If you enable push notifications, we store the push subscription token so we can deliver notifications you have opted into (for example, "it's your turn"). You can turn this off at any time from your device's notification settings or your profile page.

Payments and paid plans

ReignFree offers optional paid plans (Day Pass and Monthly Max). Card payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe-hosted checkout and billing-portal pages. We never receive or store your full card number, CVC, or bank details.

What we do store when you purchase:

• Your plan and entitlement state (free, Day Pass, Monthly Max) and its expiry or period dates.
• Stripe identifiers linked to your account: customer ID and subscription ID.
• Payment-event records received from Stripe's webhooks (for example, checkout completed, subscription updated or cancelled).

Stripe processes your payment information as an independent controller under its own privacy policy, including for fraud prevention. Purchases made through an app store, if we offer that in future, are processed by that store under its own terms.

Cookies and browser storage

We use cookies and local storage for sign-in, room/player session continuity, saved preferences, and analytics. See our Cookies & Local Storage page for the full list and your choices.

How we use information

• Create, run, and moderate trivia rooms.
• Save host-created packs and let players join and score rooms.
• Generate custom trivia rounds from topics and context you submit.
• Improve safety, reliability, and gameplay quality.
• Detect and prevent abuse, spam, and misuse of generation.
• Debug errors and monitor usage and infrastructure costs.
• Communicate with you about your account, safety, or material product changes.

Service providers

We rely on third-party providers to run ReignFree. They process data on our behalf for the purposes above (Stripe acts as an independent controller for payments):

• Supabase (provisioned through Lovable Cloud) — authentication, database, realtime gameplay, and server logs.
• Lovable and its hosting/CDN providers — application hosting, server-side rendering, and content delivery.
• Stripe — checkout, subscription billing, billing portal, and fraud prevention.
• PostHog (when analytics is enabled for a deployment) — product analytics and error/diagnostic events.
• AI model providers reached through the Lovable AI Gateway (currently Google Gemini models) — generating and quality checking custom trivia questions from the topic and context you submit.
• Web push infrastructure — your browser or device vendor's push service (for example Google, Apple, or Mozilla) delivers notifications you opt into; we store the subscription token.
• Email — transactional email for sign-in, account notices, and support correspondence at support@reignfree.dev.
• Google Play — distribution of the Android package, including crash and install metrics that Google provides to us.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share host or player information with advertisers. This list can change as we swap providers; material changes are reflected here.

AI-generated content

Custom trivia rounds are generated with AI assistance. The topic and any context you type are sent to our AI provider to produce and automatically quality-check questions; those inputs and the generated questions are stored with your pack. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or inappropriate despite the automated checks and safety filters we apply. Review generated questions before using them in a classroom, workplace, or public setting — you are responsible for how you use them.

User-generated content

Topics, context, custom questions, room names, nicknames, and any other content you submit are your responsibility. You agree not to submit content that is illegal, harmful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit involving minors, privacy-invasive, or that infringes anyone's rights. Content can be reported in-product with the "Report content" control, or by email. See our Community Guidelines, Copyright & DMCA page, and Terms for the full rules.

Age and audience (13+)

ReignFree is a general-audience party trivia product made for players 13 and older. It is not designed for or directed to children under 13, and accounts are not intended for them. Where ReignFree is used for education, training, or any other group setting, the account holder must be an adult (for example the teacher, parent, trainer, or organizer hosting the room) who reviews the questions and supervises play; guests can join a hosted room without creating an account. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us at support@reignfree.dev and we will delete it.

Data retention

We keep data only as long as we need it, and these are our current working targets rather than guarantees:

• Account, profile, and packs — while your account is active; removed or anonymized after a deletion request is processed.
• Rooms and gameplay records — retained for product history and leaderboards; identifying names are anonymized on deletion.
• Diagnostic and request logs — a rolling window, currently on the order of 30–90 days depending on the provider.
• Product analytics events — retained per our analytics provider's configured retention window.
• Push subscriptions — until you disable notifications, the token expires, or your account is deleted.
• Payment and entitlement records — retained for as long as required for accounting, tax, chargeback, and fraud-prevention purposes, typically several years.
• Safety, moderation, and infringement records — retained as needed to enforce our rules, including repeat-infringer tracking.

Deleting your account

Signed-in users can request deletion directly from the Delete Account page or from Profile → Delete account and data. On request we immediately delete your push subscriptions and notifications, unpublish your packs from public surfaces, clear your profile fields, and anonymize your name on shared game records; your login account and remaining account-linked records are then removed in a queued follow-up step. Requests are reviewed and typically completed within 30 days, unless legal, security, accounting retention or an abuse investigation requires longer. Anonymized rows for completed games may remain so other players' results and leaderboards are not corrupted, and we may retain limited billing, entitlement, payment-status, security and abuse records — plus an audit record of the deletion request itself — where required for accounting, dispute handling, fraud prevention or other legal obligations. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent (for example, for notifications). Email support@reignfree.dev and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

ReignFree is operated from the United States and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on our providers' standard contractual clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

Security

We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information, including transport encryption, access control on our backend, and row-level authorization for host data. No service can guarantee perfect security.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify hosts by email or in-app notice.
